This week a very rare and unique configuration of planets takes place.
Saturn and Pluto, two very remarkable and “tough” planets are having a rare alignment, that happens every 40 years or so. Whilst these two align, they oppose Mars and the True Node, who are in alignment on the exact other side of Earth. Mars aligns with the True Node every two and a half years. The odds of this double conjunction taking place in opposition to one another are almost incalculable and very rare.
The True Node is not an actual celestial body. It is a hypothetical mark on the chart that marks the place of eclipses. By looking at what is happening now in our solar system we can see a perfect alignment of five astrological components, one not an actual planet, but all others are. These would be: The True Node, Mars, planet Earth itself, Saturn and Pluto.
When we break down these components we can start to feel and understand how powerful and strong is this cosmic gateway created by these five.
Saturn, Pluto and the True Node – all three of them – in a way, link to the life-long challenges to do with previous life-times, and the breakthroughs we need to do in order to avoid the past and craft our way to a clear and new future.
Saturn is also called “Lord of Karma” and talks about restrictions put upon us by ourselves during previous life times. Pluto talks about transformation (and also about life and death). And The True Node marks this current life-time break-through needed in order to avoid old karma.
Mars, naturally, is not a “softy” either – the God of War is all about challenges and taking things head-on.
This week we are wearing our spiritual fighting-gear, and going out to fight some monsters. The “monsters” are mainly our own old habits that have come with us from our past, or even from our past-lives: patterns of behaviors that do not suit us, and who we are now, any more… The way to fight those monsters would be with awareness.
Just like Perseus who killed the monstrous Medusa with a shining armor, that reflected her like a mirror back to her own deadly eyes, this is the time to recognize and be conscious of unsuitable behaviors on our side. When we are aware of these, we can choose to act differently, change our ways and by that craft our way into a better future, for ourselves and others.
