These days Venus takes a special journey in the sky, in which almost every week she aligns with another special celestial feature. And this journey of Venus in the sky allows us to take a magnificent journey here on Earth, all to do with love.
Last week Venus aligned with Jupiter, visibly in the morning sky, allowing our hearts to expand. And this week Venus is aligning with the Center of the Galaxy.
The center of the Galaxy is the black hole in the center of the Milky Way around which all the stars, seen by our naked eyes, revolve. It’s location, as perceived from Earth, is in the area of constellation Sagittarius (the Realm of Flexibility). Once a year Venus aligns with the Center of the Galaxy, and at that time, what the Center of the Galaxy stands for, and what Venus stands for – merge and unite.
The Center of the Galaxy talks about our higher vocation – the non-personal purpose of our lives, which is not for our own benefit or fulfillment, but rather is for the benefit of the larger, universal picture. And Venus stands for Love.
At the time of the alignment of Venus with the Center of the Galaxy we can connect to a higher, purer sort of love. A love which does not revolve around personal benefits, or personal likes and dislikes. This is a time to connect to the pure essence of Love; a love which has no time, possessions or conditions attached to it. This love was named by the Greeks Aphrodite Aurania – the purest love of all.
This love can be seen in the care parents have for their children, it can be felt in the awe and appreciation of nature or in deep religious emotions. It is the constant thread of the soft glowing frequency that holds with it healing and warmth. It is a love that can affect and change for the better those who are in contact with it, whether they are the ones transmitting it, or receiving it.
This is the week to start feeling this kind of pure and universal love, and make more room for it in our lives.
