How will Jupiter Affect our lives and How to Spot it in the Skies?
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun, biggest planet in our solar system and the only one that radiates more energy than it receives from the Sun, and there for on its way to become sun itself someday… In astrology it is known as the planet of good fortune and expansion.
As all further planets, Jupiter has its retrogression time and its direct movement.
This shift in direction has nothing to do with Jupiter’s actual course, but with the way we perceive it here on earth.
After a few months of retrograding, Jupiter now goes back to its direct course, showing us its positive and bright side again, and opening before us new doorways and possibilities of success.
Jupiter is now clearly seen in the night skies shining bright and big in the middle of the Leo constellation (the Nobility Astrological Realm). Right in the belly of the Lion. It is very easy to spot Jupiter in the evening’s skies these days as it’s the first star to appear right after sunset. And if you’ve missed sunset – no worry! It is still easy for locate Jupiter – as it is the brightest star in the sky these days (Mars is also very bright, but has a reddish color, while Jupiter is white).
It is also a star that doesn’t twinkle – as this is one of the things that differentiate planets from stars – stars twinkle whilst planets have a constant radiation.
After you spot Jupiter in the skies you can see it resides inside of a bow of stars – these stars are part of the Leo constellation, its body, or belly, and with some imagination you can also see the head of the lion, as a lion that lies in its profile, a bit like the sphinx, its head heading west towards the descending sun. A few hours after sunset Jupiter and the great Lion will set to the west, following the Sun, disappearing behind the horizon.
Jupiter is going to travel now very quickly out of the Realm of Nobility (Leo constellation). One could actually see it travel more and more to the east night by night, till the point, in mid August, it would already be in the next astrological realm – the realm of Abundance (the Virgo constellation). It is rare to see Jupiter move so fast, as usually it has a slow movement – travelling one sign per year, but this quick movement is the result of the resent end of its retrogression period.
